Basho’s Haiku and Photographs To Enjoy…

In the twilight rain
these brilliant-hued hibiscus . . .
A lovely sunset
~Basho
Silent the old town . . .
the scent of flowers floating . . .
And evening bell
~Basho

Clouds come from time to time
and bring to men a chance to rest
from looking at the moon.
~Basho

Old dark sleepy pool . . .
quick unexpected frog
Goes plop! Watersplash!
~Basho

  1. the teach, what an awesome site! I loved it so much I posted an announcement about it on my Japanese Literature Challenge 2 Review Site. (You can find the link in my sidebar.) I'll be back, hopefully with a worthy submission.
